《Invictus》

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert, one of the American Idol Season 8 contestants, didn't go well at the first stage when he tried out for the show. The judges didn't like his song choice and gave him a second chance. He finally made it to hollywood with simon saying "too theatrcial" . However, the judges start to see his potential for singing on the Top 36 shows in which He wowed the audiences and  judges with the song called "satisfaction." Since then, he'd wowed everyone on each show. Combined with his individual style and enchanting eyes, His version of "Black or white" really rock the whole stage. When judging, Paula even say "I believe with all my heart that we will be seeing you to the end of the show. Though Adam ended with the runnerup standing, his unique vocal and genious rendition of songs have made him the winner in the heart of people.

During the competition, the rumor of  his being gay had been a mistery and never stop. When he is just about to start his carrer, he commited he is a gay and officially came out of the closet. Bombarded with question about his sex orientaion, he said "I have nothing to hide, I am who I am" But that  didn't seem to bother his fans, they said "Even if he is a gay, we still love him." some even give adam the highest credit saying,"he is the perfect man I've ever seen."

(I wonder what it would be like if that happened in Taiwan. Would Taiwanese accept him as a "gay?" )

come on, give me a break

I am done, really. no joking. I am done.

The teacher want to talk to me after the class and I have no idea what she is going to say. but I think maybe it is about my absence last week. I e-mailed the teacher to explain the reason, but she still want to have a little talk with me. I am so worried. what if she said "Bava, maybe you should consider dropping out the class?" if she really say so, oh my, I don't care I have to retake the class or another one, what I care is the money I paid, the time I spent and the energy I put into is going to drain. oh. I am about to cry.

But honestly, I am asking for it, you know. I shouldn't skip classes.

Well. what's done is done. the die is cast. There is nothing you can change about what you've done. All you can do is to take the resposibility yourself and pray to God for showing you some mercy.

Take on the bright side, if I was shun out of the class, I would have more time for other things.

Cas haley

Cas Haley, an American singer from American's Got Talent, first grabbed my attention with his characteristic voice. His very first performence on AGT took the audience by storm greatly. Though he just got runner-up standing, it didn't stop him from pursuing his dream. What I love about him is that he didn't possess glamorous and sparkling appearance, but with humble, gracious attitude and unique, unmistakable voice, he successfully capture the heart and soul of pepole. Later, he released his self-titled album, which achieved resounding success ending up as Billboard Top Selling Raggae Album in 2008. And his long-anticipated new album is about to hit the market in the summer of 2010. I just can't wait for it. If you want to find out more about Cas haley, check it out on youtube, or you can just click on the links below to start your jouney with Cas Haley into the world of raggae.

holy shit!

I got my mid-term result today. And it is pretty ugly. I screwed it, I have to say.

Well, I can't change the score number, but I can learn my lessons.

Following are my reflection of the mid-term preparation:

1. I should've delved into those materials, not just  skiped over them.

2. I should've taken those materials as a whole knowledge, not just some fragment messages.

3. I should've prepared for it a few more weeks in advance, not just put it off until the last minut.

Failure is nothing, what matters is you learn from your failure. Well goes the saying "Failure is the mother of success." I believe I will do better next time.

welcome to mid-term hell!

"Paper" thy name is "nuisance"

In general, writting reports is nothing difficult, but only when you start it a few weeks before the dateline. However, my situation is nothing like that.

Our report is "evaluate 3 different kinds of textbooks, each of which contains book for teacher, book for student and practice books"

The report msut include advantages and disadvantages about the books, the layout, idealogy behind these books, theories drew from psychology.

ok, now the problem is the report is due to tomorrow, and I haven't started any bit of it.

so, wellcome to the mid-term hell!!!haha

is it just me or?????

Is it jsut me or you guys feel the same as I do. I got lots of messages from people I don't know. The funny thing is that these message are nonsense. There is no relevence between these words and my blogs. Could someone clear me out? I am pretty sure it is not a April's fool joke.
